CDX and SECC Provide Investment Know-how to the Public in Kep

On October 04, 2019, Cambodian Derivatives Exchange (“CDX”) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (“SECC”) successfully co-organized the roadshow 2019 at the 3rd stop – Kep province, enhancing the participants’ both investment knowledge and skills. This is another achievement of both institutions in addition to their roadshows in the previous seven provinces, including Preah Sihanouk, Kampong Cham, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Siem Reap, Takeo, and Kampot provinces.

The roadshow at Kep was officially launched by Mr. Chea Bullika, Deputy Director of the Securities Intermediaries Supervision Department of SECC. During his remarks, Mr. Bullika emphasized SECC’s mission to strengthen regulations for Cambodia derivatives market and encouraged investors to raise their knowledge, as well as to only choose companies licensed by SECC for risk-wise and good investment return purposes.

Since the inception of the roadshow in 2018, CDX has been the only Central Counterparty company partnering SECC in hosting such important, educational event in which the company has also granted requests from its outstanding derivative brokers to participate. Apart from sharing its investment know-how, CDX also presents a variety of investment opportunities to the public, especially investors across the entire Cambodia.

As an initiator and speaker of the roadshow 2019, Mr. Lawrence Kook, Director of CDX, expressed his delight at collaborating with SECC and sharing his many years of experiences to the public, even in the farthest provinces of Cambodia. He believed that those people deserved to be introduced good investment opportunities as well as to be assisted in their investment, and he said this was one of the reasons why CDX and SECC would go to all provinces of the country.

When taking global presence into accounts, CDX has actively partaken in major financial exhibitions, including the iFX Expo International 2018 in Cyprus, the London Summit 2018 in England, and the iFX Expo Aisa 2019 in Hong Kong. In November 2019, the company will once again attend the London Summit to further promote Cambodia and to attract foreign investors to this kingdom.
