In its continuous efforts to elevate Cambodia’s investment market on the international stage, Cambodian Derivatives Exchange (CDX) recently had a monumental business visit to plenty of companies in China—the world’s second-largest economy by GDP—to discuss promising business cooperation projects. These projects are expected to bring significant benefits to both Cambodian and Chinese communities and cement the all-season relationship between the two countries.
Spanning from December 17-19, CDX Director Mr. Lawrence Kook and the CDX Research team, in collaboration with key partners, successfully completed a three-day visit exploring four firms in Chengmai County on Hainan Island and seven in Chongqing Municipality. The visit included a comprehensive agenda featuring new research findings, business promotion presentations, key reports, case studies, perspective exchanges, and discussions, marking a significant step towards achieving such an ambitious goal.
The essential initiative is to establish any feasible licensed business cooperations in accordance with both countries’ international trade laws. Moreover, Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signings are also planned for the future to streamline procedures, maximize revenue, and pave the way for long-term mutual success.
Additionally, the digital-based investment market is also open for cooperation and study, further expanding the scope of this enterprise, as CDX is already Cambodia’s mature exchange specialized in derivative trading backed by underlying assets such as precious metals (gold and silver), stocks, bonds, commodities, currencies, and indices.
CDX remains committed to progressing this initiative and driving economic growth for all parties. From the Cambodian side, CDX is collaborating with two key entities: the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC) and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia, to expedite any applicable cooperation with the Chinese parties.
CDX is really enthusiastic about the success of this initiative as it well aligns with Cambodia-China friendship’s common goal of economic cooperation, emphasizing the building of a community with a shared prosperous future.
