On May 03, 2022, Cambodian Derivatives Exchange (CDX) welcomed a group of students from CamEd Institute, commonly known as CamEd Business School specializing in teaching accounting and finance, especially Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), with internationally-recognized standards. This tour was aimed to deliver deep insight into business concepts, investment knowledge, financial education and job opportunities, all for both physical and by-Zoom participants.
Serving as Director and Chief Executive Officer of CDX, Mr. Lawrence Kook devoted his time with enthusiasm to warmly greet and enlighten students throughout his presentation and guide all around the company.
The presentation covered the basics of derivatives trading, the updates on Cambodia derivatives market, the significance of the derivatives market to economic growth, and derivatives investment know-how. Besides, the students were also presented with the relation between the derivatives industry and financial education, investment opportunities, and job creation, all of which have constantly contributed to Cambodia’s economic development and will shape their future careers.

Meanwhile, I am also energetic, grateful, and hopeful about a better future for Cambodia’s economic and financial advancement taken care of by such great powerful young scholars like all of you,” said Mr. Lawrence Kook. “As a driving force for this development, we have been vibrantly enrolling ourselves to be a significant stakeholder of every aspect through offering innovative investment methods, communicative education, and dynamic job positions,”

The recent years of pandemic has slowed down national economic activities but the digital part of the business contributed to the continuity of the derivative industry’s development. Today we take action to enlarge the extent to a higher level of benefit and trust in the derivative business,” added Mr. Lawrence Kook.
