Cambodian Derivatives Exchange (CDX), a leading clearing house or Central Counterparty in Cambodia, provided investment knowledge to hundreds of investors at Urban Village Theater last December 28 and 29, 2019.
Mr. Lawrence Kook, Director of CDX, delivered the welcome remarks during the investment seminar with the presence of officials and staff of Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC). With the rapid economic growth and achievements of Cambodia, he stated that Cambodia would be more progressive in the coming decade. “It is your turn to have a successful life through the knowledge that you would gain in derivatives market,” he said.
H.E. Mr. Sou Socheat, Director General of SECC, recollected during his speech how SECC started and implemented successfully its development plan. He considered year 2019 as a very successful year in the financial market due to an increased in trading volume. In addition to his presence, H.E. Mr. Sok Dara, Deputy Director General of SECC said, “Capacity building of our investors is very important. It requires emotional discipline and technical knowledge to be successful in this industry.”
During the investment seminar, CDX’s top forex traders and mentors from Japan and America reminded the participants to be in compliance with the rules of SECC and to also follow trading rules to be more profitable. CDX invited the participants to visit their office to learn more how to trade professionally and to implement risk management in derivatives market.
SECC appreciated CDX for taking the initiative to educate Cambodian people about derivatives market through roadshows, seminars and Forex mentorship program. CDX has been participating in different international expos and events to showcase Cambodia and bring more potential foreign investors to the country.
